:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Mark Krigbaum -- Fantastic read, courageous! : I never leave book reviews. This book was so fascinating and entertaining that I had to give it a review. I’ll admit that part of the reason I enjoyed it so much was confirmation bias. Because of my health journey over the last 10 years I’ve come to distrust our conventional medicine when it comes to nutrition and drugs (statins). But put that aside, Dr. Kendrick’s style of writing is enjoyable and witty. I also love that he has no qualms about taking Big Pharma and the support mechanisms to task. Only change was lower carbs, higher protein and fats. Doctor wanted me to go on statins although TRG to HDL Ratio less than one. After reading this book, LDL less concerning and am actually smiling. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Mr Fipple -- A truly refreshing new look at the more likely answers to a longstanding puzzle : Fats, saturated fats, and cholesterol are essential components for the building of the types of cells of which animals are comprised. Other and additional components are needed, I might add. But the great lesson worthy of acceptance is that if nature had not evolved the acquired ability to synthesise cholesterol then there could exist no form of animal life at all. Saturated fats and cholesterol are fully in keeping with the needs of animal cells and thus they are fully in keeping with the needs of animals.
